BRIEF HISTORY

   The investment casting process has been in existence for thousands of years. The primary early use of the process was mainly in the art field.  The process has made integrate bronze statues and jewelry for centuries.

    The Second World War initiated industrial use of investment castings because of the shapes and dimensions required to support the war effort in a timely manner. Development since that time has enabled investment casters to offer a greater design freedom than other metal forming methods.
